One of the most popular phones recently is the Samsung Galaxy S. It has a similar format to Apple's iPhone, uses all the latest technologies (1GHz processor, Super AMOLED LCD, 5 MPx camera, 8GB storage), and best of all - runs on Android. While HTC seem to be getting all the hype for Android phones, the Samsung should not be overlooked.
To protect your investment, it is always a good idea to buy some sort of case.
First, let's take a look at the available screen protectors:

The Zagg invisible shield is definitely a product not to miss out on. The quality foil lasts longer than most other average foils, and will not add distortion to your phone's screen, like some cheaper foils. Speaking of which, you can get a
generic reusable sceen protector
, which only costs $2.00 - if price is your main concern. Don't expect it to last too long though, and the screen may not look as pretty either.
If you're looking for full body protection in the form of film, try the Zagg Invisible Shield Full body (maximum version)
here
When it comes to cases, there are several options. You can try fitting an iPhone case, for example. Popular ones are the
Incipio ORION Sleeve Case for iPhone 3G, 3GS (comes in several colors) or
JKase Premium White Leather Sleeve Case for Apple iPhone 4 / 4G - both retailing for about $15.00. Fitment isn't guaranteed - that's why I've included both a 3G and 4G case - try and see which one you have better luck with.

Specific cases for the Samsung are for example the
Amzer Silicone Skin
, or a
TPU case
. Either way, if you're not in a hurry, I recommend you buy a screen protector first, see how it suits you, and if need be, go for a bigger case. Don't forget, a screen protector is invisible when applied correctly, but a case always adds to the external dimensions of the device.
